Typeset at the Office of the 'Royal Gazette', Georgetown 1850/51: Cottonreel 12 c. black on blue wove paper, Type C, a used cut square example with large to enormous margins all round for this issue, initialled "WHL" (Lortimer), cancelled by near complete "Demerara" double arc datestamp (Nov 21, 1850) and "Berbice" in black. Ironed vertical crease at left but an outstanding example of this rare stamp. Signed Thier. Cert. BPA (2020) Scott 5 = $ 35'000 / Gi = £ 35'000.
