1927 (May 12): Montevideo - Asuncion stage, cover from Montevideo franked with Uruguay 5 c. cancelled "March 14" bearing adjacent Italian 'Tricolore' - label and signed by Carlo del Prete (Co-pilot) and Vitale Zanetti (Engineer), backstamped on reverse with meter mark of "ASUNCION PARAGUAY 15 MAR 27". The letter was prepared for a survey flight by De Pinedo to Asuncion, which did not take place. The two Italians Zanetti and Del Prete flew from Rome to Brazil and on to Montevideo (May 12, 1927) taking the previously prepared mail with them. Only few covers reported (Longhi 1633).
