detail, mostly unused, many large multiples, blocks and sheets,
includes 'LACROIX FERES' watermark on sheet block of twelve,
printer imprint 'Arthur Maury', partial printing flaw on ½ r.
positions 84/91-92, as well as "imperforate" vertically between
horizontal pair and double perforations, noted plate flaws such as
'white dot below 'M' of MEDIO' and 'broken tail-feather of bird at
left', fiscal use of ½ r. and 2 r., a very impressive 4 r. marginal
block of eight showing blank position 1-2, a cover front franked
with 4 r. tied by Guatemala datestamp sent to Netherlands, 2 r.
bottom corner marginal block of nine and side marginal block of ten
both with 'GUATEMALA' in marginal, noted 5 centavos overprint on ½
r. green part sheet of fifty two being largest recorded from plate
2, as well as missing '5' on position 45 on large irregular block
of nineeteen, 1 p. block of thirty showing plate flaws on positions
25 and 37 and many other fabulous items, a real treasure trove for
the serious collector, a fine study of this classic issue. Ex the
