(38), including a hand-drawn pencil composite of the frames, two
different designs alongside each other, with a cut-out of the
portrait inset, also progressive die proofs with pencil notes and
detail of duty plate and frame sketched in, a number of working
examples, as well as a mock-up with the vignette area cut from the
frame and the portrait inserted, a number of proofs in green and
brown without duty and others with values (1 c., 3 c., 5 c., 20 c.
24 c., 30 c. and 50 c. in black), together with Arms overprint
proofs in red, blue and black printed on thin paper mounted on
card, with thirteen die proofs, imperforate (different values),
