1 d. lilac two singles and 2 d. grey-green and carmine, overprinted
"BRITISH PROTECTORATE / OIL RIVERS", sent from Old Calabar to
Tranmere, England, tied by "OLD CALABAR RIVER" cds, with a
"REGISTERED LIVERPOOL" oval dated 3 December 1893. To the reverse a
"BIRKENHEAD" cds dated 4 December 1893. Two surface rubs to back,
otherwise fine and attractive
