European Gummed & Perforated paper 1886/87: 3 d. violet (13 JAN 86) on yellowish paper, perf. 11½, without Arms, a used example, some peripheral ageing, on cover endorsed "Privaat" to Pretoria, tied by oval "VRYHEID / NIEUWE REPUBLIEK" datestamp in violet (Feb 5) in combination with Transvaal 1885 2 d. brown-purple, two examples (Gi 177), tied by circular numeral obliterator "11" in black with "UTRECHT / Z.A.R. / ZUID AFRIKA" cds in black at left (Feb 6). Springbok perf. 15 x 14 unused horizontal pair large part og. (Gi O4), 1940 10 s. blue & sepia bilingual Official overprint (18-19 mm. apart) used horizontal strip of three (Gi O29), also South West Africa 1923 2 d. dull purple unused horizontal pair variety "Overprint Inverted" large part og. (Gi 3a), 1923/26 Setting VI 1 s. orange-yellow, 10 s. blue & olive-green and £ 1 green & red set of three values in horizontal pairs as distributed to the UPU overprinted 'SPECIMEN' in violet (Samuel Type SA5) fresh and fine (Gi 35s,39s & 40s), 1927 SWA set of nine values to 10 s. bright blue & brown unused all overprinted 'SPECIMEN' in violet (Samuel Type SA5) without the 4 d. value as this was issued in 1928, and 1927 Official set of four values in horizontal pairs the 6 d. tone spot on gum the 2 d. pair very fine and fresh colour large part og.
