1819/63: Fine old-style collection housed in two self-manufactured
albums on black pages. It begins with seven Cavallini letters, six
of which are signed by E. Diena. The collection includes a 15 c.
printed, unused, 25 c. used (possibly used only as a form with
stamp inside), 50 c. unused, 15 c. embossed print unused, 15 c.
embossed apparently circulated from Carmagnola to Torino (not
signed), 25 c. unused, and half a sheet of 50 c. unused. Following
the Cavallini letters, there is a substantial stamp collection
starting with the first issue from 1851 complete, featuring
additional 20 c. and 40 c. showing other shades, and a 20 c. on a
folded letter. The issue with embossed design on coloured paper is
complete (20 c. on piece), including a letter bearing another 20 c.
The 1854 issue is complete with all values used, plus additional 5
c. and two 20 c stamps for shades. Additionally 20 c. and 80 c. are
also represented in unused condition; the 80 c. is signed by Thier.
There are two single frankings of the 20 c, one of which features a
corner stamp from the lower left, from LEVANTO to SARZANA. This
apealing collection has a very high catalogue value!
