forwarding agent cachet of Mathews, Finigan & Fox; 1852 cover from
Montreal to Cherbourg endorsed "per steamer via U. States"; 1853
letter from Quebec to Cognac endorsed "per Royal Mail Steamer" and
carried via the Cunarder "Canada " from Boston to Liverpool; 1853
letter from Montreal to Cognac also endorsed "per Royal Mail
Steamer" (ex Vandervelde), 1860 cover from Terrebonne to Auxerre,
and unusual 1854 letter originating in Rocky Hill, United States,
to Paris, with boxed red "CANADA & ART. 12.", Anglo-French
accountancy mark, green Liverpool Packet Letter and green cross
handstamp, and scarce red "LETTRE ARRIVEE / DECACHETEE" backstamps
(ex Salles), and 1858 cover from Delaware, Upper Canada, to
Wurttemburg (ex Salles, Vandervelde), typical filing folds, chiefly
fine, a scarce assembly
