from London to Dundee, 2 November 1870, cancelled by the extremely
rare experimental Sloper 'Orb & Cross' Perforation Machine cancel,
with variety "Inverted Orb & Cross'. To reverse an arrival in black
(Nov 3). Very minor soiling, otherwise a very fine card (H&B
CP2) and clean crisp punch holes. Rarely available. One of two
recorded examples of the 'Inverted Orb' cancel. Reference:
